Lo.Co Turns Three!

Hello Lo.Co Community!

Let me start by saying how amazing it is to say Life On. Cell Off™ is 3 years old! It fills my heart to know that my lifetime passion of connecting people became a reality and continues to grow with your support. When I think back to this past year and all of the challenges it makes me reflect deeply on our goals. I have been through many ups and downs in 2020, including doubting myself and others and through it all it hasshown me the importance of disconnecting to reconnect. Some of the things I have missed the most is hugging one another, family gatherings, my son's band performances, and not being able to see my mom. I did learn to cook a few more dishes, worked on decluttering the house and telling my son and husband what they should be doing, I can tell you that got old quickly. Being stuck at home made it too easy to grab anything from the pantry or refrigerator, attend too many team or zoom meetings, not fully engage with others since they couldn’t always see me and being in my pj’s for days became the norm. My neighbor told me she thought I was a hermit, that she became concerned since she never saw me. I found it funny since, wait, aren’t we suppose to be in lockdown? I thought about it again and said, wait, we aren’t supposed to socialize right,? What did this mean? So, I got curious and became more intentional with my actions even if it meant, standing at the door and saying hello if she was outside, or picking up the phone to call to say, hello, how are you?. I felt inspired to be more present and I realized how much I needed people and the connections to help me feel alive. I have struggled in many ways with the changes we all endured. I continue to learn by listening to my body, paying attention to my feelings and the feelings of others. I am encouraged by the few changes I have made and thankful for the support of my family, friends and coworkers. I continue to say be brave; don't give up, we all are going through this ever changing world together!

HOPE is what I have, that in 2021; I will take what I have learned from 2020, making me stronger, working on our vision of connections, and eager for a positive outlook. I am going to embrace the opportunities in front of me by being more open and listening. I look forward to growing our community, empowering our voices through deep conversations, and connecting with one another one moment at a time.

Let’s all get involved with our movement by taking a little time each day to take breaks from our cell phones, be present, do an act of kindness and have some fun going Lo.Co.  Thank you for your support. 💞
